‘The PURE Mile’ is an environmental initiative of The PURE (Protecting Uplands and Rural Environments) project which aims to foster a greater appreciation and awareness of our country roadscapes by rewarding and acknowledging local community efforts. Tinahely National School are actively participating in 'The PURE Mile' project by regularly participating in litter collections, learning about our local heritage and wildlife and  participating in projects that promote regeneration and better management of our local environment.
