In September 2024 some of our students thoroughly enjoyed horse riding lessons at the local stables 'Tir Na Nog.' Tir na nog Equine Assisted Therapy Riding Centre is based in Aughrim, and the students enjoyed hacks around the surrounding fields.
Researchers from UCD School of Geography are partaking in a Coastal Uplands: Heritage and Tourism (CUPHAT) project –which is supported by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland-Wales Cooperation programme.
Some students from Tinahely National School were lucky enough to work with the UCD Research Team to collect and record local natural data. The students explored water quality and recorded animal observations.
On Friday, the students thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their Grandparents. This day was made extra special as Grandparents were invited into the school. The day started with Mass lead by Father Gahan and the School Choir got the opportunity to sing. Later, the grandparent's were invited to spend time in the classrooms with their grandchildren and enjoyed cakes and coffee.
